柳田 由人 Yoshito Yanagida

1973年、兵庫県生まれ。
日本写真芸術専門学校を卒業後、自らもスノーボードプレイヤーとして活動しながら、父と同じ写真の道を志しました。写真家・郡大二郎氏に師事し、1999年よりスノーボードカメラマンとして本格的に活動を開始。
スノーボード専門誌の取材では、ソルトレイク、バンクーバー、ソチの各オリンピックをはじめ、世界の雪山で数多くのアスリートを撮影してきました。
現在は、スノーボードブランドのカタログや雪山での撮影を軸にしながら、スポーツブランドの広告撮影、ファッション誌でのタレント・モデル撮影、自動車専門誌での作品など、幅広い分野で活動しています。
一貫して大切にしているのは、アスリートや被写体を「最高に格好よく」表現すること。
その瞬間の躍動感、空気、感情までも写し取り、見る人の心を動かす写真を追い求めています。
Born in Hyogo, Japan in 1973.
After graduating from the Japan Institute of Photography and Film, I pursued the same photographic path as my father while also being active as a snowboarder myself. I trained under photographer Daijiro Koori, and in 1999 began my career as a professional snowboard photographer.
Covering major snowboard magazines, I have photographed numerous athletes on snow-covered mountains around the world, including at the Salt Lake City, Vancouver, and Sochi Olympic Games.
Today, my work spans a wide range of fields: from catalog shoots for snowboard brands and mountain photography, to advertising campaigns for sports brands, talent and model shoots for fashion magazines, and automotive photography for specialty publications.
What I consistently value is expressing athletes and subjects at their very best.
Capturing the energy, atmosphere, and emotions of each moment, I strive to create images that move and inspire those who see them.
